The GentleMax Pro® is the gold standard in laser hair removal. It is a single, consolidated system that delivers a powerful combination of two best-in-class lasers: the 755 nm Alexandrite laser for lighter skin tones and the 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser for darker skin tones.

This dual-wavelength capability allows us to safely and effectively treat virtually all skin types and hair colors. The laser energy is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicle, destroying it to prevent future growth. For enhanced comfort and safety, the GentleMax Pro® also features a patented Dynamic Cooling Device (DCD™), which sprays a cooling burst of cryogen onto the skin fractions of a second before each laser pulse.

Is the hair really gone forever?

We call it permanent hair *reduction*. After a full series of treatments, most patients see a 70-90% permanent reduction in hair growth. Hormonal changes can occasionally cause new hair to grow, which can be managed with annual touch-up sessions.

Why do I need so many sessions?

Hair grows in cycles. The laser is only effective at destroying follicles that are in the active 'anagen' growth phase. Since only a fraction of your hair is in that phase at any given time, a series of sessions is required to treat every follicle in its active cycle.

How do I prepare for my treatment?

You should avoid plucking or waxing the area for six weeks before your first session, as the laser needs to target the pigment in the hair root. Shaving is required the day before or the day of your treatment. You must also avoid sun exposure to the treatment area.
